In order
to maintain the integrity of the show, Helen Day Art Center enforces the
guidelines that follow.
1. Application Process: All artist applications must be
accompanied by:
- 5
images in slide format, CD, hard copy, or submitted electronically of the kind
of work you would display at The New Taste of Stowe Arts Festival.
- The
application form must be utilized (and is available at www.helenday.com, click
on The New Taste of Stowe Arts Festival).
- Applications
will be considered on a rolling basis until all booths are filled. Mail to: Helen Day Art Center, PO Box
411, School Street, Stowe, VT 05672.
-
If you
would like your art work to be included in publicity or on the website, please
submit high resolution digital images. Photos for print ads need to have much higher resolution than photos for
the web: 300 pixels per inch is good, with picture sizes of 4”x 6” or bigger. If your camera or scanner gives you a
choice, set it to the highest jpg quality possible.
2. Jury Process: Artist’s applications will be juried anonymously, which
means the jurors will not know the artist’s identity. The decision of the jury panel will be final. Jury information will not be available
by telephone or email prior to the mailing of the jury’s decision. This exhibition of visual fine arts is
open to fine artists in all mediums.
3. Acceptance and cancellation policy: Accepted Artists will receive an
Artist Participation Form. If
received by Friday, June 6th, an early bird fee of $200 must accompany the
return of the Artist Participation form. After June 6th, exhibit fees are $250 per booth. All participation forms and fees must be returned no later
than Friday, June 20th. As we anticipate having more applicants than spaces available we will
not be able to hold your space after this time. Refunds
will be issued if you cancel your participation 30 days prior to the event.
4. Attendance: Artist or agent of the artist must be in attendance with the artwork on
all three days of the show. This agreement may not be re-assigned by the
artist.
