Art Center seeks Grant Writer
Helen Day Art Center in Stowe seeks Grant Writer on a contract basis:
Excellent research, writing and critical thinking skills required. Strong candidate will be a highly organized, independent worker with computer skills. Demonstrated experience researching, writing and winning grants desired a background in the arts and or a passion for the arts is beneficial. Compensation to be discussed. Some portion of compensation will be on a results basis.

ART INSTRUCTORS NEEDED!
The Helen Day Art Center is looking for instructors for visual art classes for youth (pre-school to grade 12) and adults (ages 16 and up).
Previous teaching experiences preferred. Competitive wages!

Exhibitions Director
Helen Day Art Center produces some of Vermont’s most innovative and dynamic exhibits each year. Join us and lead these projects with vision and intelligence. Help bring great art to Northern Vermont and expose the strength of Vermont artists.
Work with the director, members of the board and the community to imagine, curate and design future exhibitions and accompanying public programs. Many of our classes and public programs are generated by the concepts and subject matter of our exhibitions. Our staff works closely together on major projects in a team environment.
HDAC is a mission driven, member supported non-profit art and education organization in Stowe, VT. Our broad audience includes community members, out of town visitors and school groups. We seek to honor these constituencies with excellence in all programs and a range of relevant subject matter.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, art or art history
Equivalent
Preferred:
MA, Ph.D or MFA in art or art history
Expertise to curate and install exhibitions in a professional gallery setting
Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills
Excellent writing ability (writing sample welcome)
Sensitivity and understanding to the needs and interests of a diverse audience
Demonstrated ability to recruit and manage others
Beneficial:
Graphic Design experience; Adobe CS
Web design / publishing experience
Grant writing Experience
Events experience
This is a PART TIME position; approximately 25 hours per week with the possibility to increase. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
