Artist Application
Exposed! 2008 Helen Day Art Center’s Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition
Installation Dates: June 23 – July 1, 2008
Exhibition Dates: July 11 – October 11, 2008
Entry Deadline: April 4, 2008
Acceptance Notification Mailed: April 18, 2008
Applications must include:
Images: 3-10 color slides, 8” x 10” color hard copies, or a high resolution CD ROM – including proposals for this year’s exhibition, and completed works that can be available for the exhibition. Include artist’s web site if applicable. It is OK to email medium sized jpg (1.m or less) with application. HDAC encourages proposals for new work or site-specific pieces.
Identity: Identify each image with sculptor’s name, title, medium, dimensions, and year of completion. Include a hard copy of this info if you are applying with slides or CD. *Include special installation and site concerns or considerations.
Stipends: HDAC seeks to enable artists to participate and understands that the cost of transportation, etc can be prohibitive. HDAC has limited funds that are available for artist stipends on a need basis. If you wish to be considered for a stipend please submit a one page narrative statement regarding nee, and a budget outlining specific expenses. HDAC’s stipend fund is $2,000. In 2007, 19 artists participated in Exposed!
